I've got a Canon 10d, my problem is that I can only access RAW files in the program I got with the camera. I can't open these files in any other program. Is there something I'm not doing?? How can I change the files to just RAW files instead of CRW?

.crw is the raw file extension of canon.
.nef is the raw file extension of nikon.

each his own format, you can't open it with any program... howvever photoshop can. You download for free the raw plug-in from their website and you can virtually open any raw file with it.

Ahhh...thanks, now maybe I won't be so frustrated. Everyone says shoot in RAW, but I was thinking "Bugger that!!" -can't do anything with them!
Thanks again...

You can use the zoombrowser and if you double click it converts the raw file into TIFF format, (18MB) in size. That is image with no data loss. You can then save this image whereever you choose and then open in photoshop or other tool for editing.

You can also check out the freeware packages Irfanview and Xnview, both of which can open such files and convert them into virtually any format you want.
