I am looking for a good lens to be my first telephoto. I plan to primarily use it out doors but would like to be able to use it inside on occasion.
Canon's current rebate program doesn't offer anything for the 70-300 IS lens, making the 70-200 f/4L much less ($440 vs $555). I plan to hand-hold so I am sure the IS will help going out to 300mm is appealing, but the L has better optics and a stop faster.
OR, should I bite the bullet and go up to either the 70-200 f/2.8L or the 70-200 f/4L IS? With rebate those would cost $940 and $860 respectively. |
