For once US Model numbers actaully make more sense sticking withSD 800 series for tiny sensors !! .. Over here we've got

Ixus 900 Ti - Big 10Mp CCD
Ixus 950 IS - Tiny 8Mp CCD
Ixus 960 IS - Big 12Mp CCD
Ixus 970 IS - Tiny 10Mp CCD

Talk about ridiculous naming scheme - it's bad enough they give them different names over the world as it is without that mess.. they ALL should have Japanese Ixy names really .
