I'm looking at getting one of the budget mini dv video camcorders, hopefully the Sony DCR-HC51E. I notice that this one replaces the DCR-HC37E (which had a USB connection). This camera that I'm looking at doesn't have this usb connection, clearly there's a way to connect this to the pc, but does anyone know how this is done ?
I can still get hold of the old 37E, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra £15 for an old model (just to get the usb) when I'm not sure if I even need this type of connection ?
I currently don't have a dvd recorder but plan to get an external one for my laptop (but I plan to use my pc to record the camera's tape onto dvd's)
any advice would help
