hi all! having been a fan of the super ccd even from the early days of the first and 2nd generations (misplaced enthusiasm, on my part, back then... sigh...too early on...should have waited till now!! i am very curious and interested in the new F100fd but am unable to find anything about the picture quality. I can find anything else here: http://www.infoborder.com/Digital_Cameras/Fujifilm/finepix_f100fd.php
i'm not as interested in their purported ISO 12,000 or so, but more so in more real-world uses, i.e. even as high as ISO 1600 or ISO 3200. of course, i realize the limitations currently of the super small sensor size and the P&S nature of this camera - not expecting a miracle, but based on its marketing claims, I AM expecting a somewhat better/improved performance compared with others of the same ilk.
for example, my current Canon SD870IS is a super duper no nonsense all around throw it in your pocket/bag and have it with you type of little camera. Not amazing, but pretty darn good for many many circumstances. I would expect and hope that the new F100fd would be somewhat better at ISO 800 than my 870 Canon, and at least somewhat better at ISO 1600 as well - though obviously, I'm not expecting the low noise levels of most DSLR's.
I'd be grateful if anyone has links to useful picture quality assessments of this camera to show us. Thanks in advance! |
