Hi guys, not been around for a while... and i need advice...
I'm upgrading from my D50 to something with a bit more pixel power :)
I've read through some mags and still can't decide.
I was quite keen on the canon EOS 400d. and at £400ish with a lense its within budget...
The only issue is i can't use all my SD cards with it, and i'm not sure if i can use the 70-300 lens i bought for my d50 with it.
I am going to sell the D50 anyway... so its not a real issue.
I had a glance at the Nikon d40x, and toyed with the D80 idea...
The D80 gets a good right up, the only negative point my mag comments on is that you need a fast PC to open the images... (just got a new mac, so should be ok)
So at the moment it's between the canon 400D and the Nikon D80. I like the price of the Canon but i've never had one... I liked my D50 this makes me lean slightly towards the Nikon... I just don't know if it's worth the extra £200-£250.
any advice much appreciated. |
