I have the Tamron and its my best and most favorite lens. I got because it does have a little bit more reach (5MM), and it was the 3rd most owned lens in a poll I saw. 1st and 2nd were the 18-55MM and 50MM. So I figured it had to be decent with so many people owning it. Crappy lens that aren;t part of the kit wouldn;t become that popular. I was able to pick up a Demo from Adorama for $300. |

Alright, I have the 50mm as well, do you know how the image quality of the tamron compares to that? |

I'd say they are equivalent in sharpness. But I do tend to use the 28-75 much more because of the zoom. I'm one who often has buyers remorse, but I have none with this lens. I'm just hoping to add a compliment of a 70-200 f/2.8 lens to it. |
