Its a new photography and videography forum trying to get off the ground. My friend owns it and I'm an admin. We are short on members, but we are growing quickly and would love some of you guys to check it out.

Okay, after the post I just left in the I can't believe this, "what's happening here," this COULD be the problem. I mean, okay, advertise your site if that's what you want to do but maybe try in the section that's labeled for that sole purpose? Although I'm not sure soliciting a site that is competing with the site that you're currently visiting is a good idea. Maybe it's just me but if someone sees a site that has more to offer (Not saying this one does, I haven't checked it out) but what gives? I remember a day when something like this would never have occurred. What happened?

Brindie, I think I understand your point to a degree, but the way this site is going H in a hand basket, why not look around for other sites? Most other sites I frequent welcome alternative site links. I guess they are confident in what they have will keep people coming back. Just my .02 worth.

It's kind of pointless given that you might get four or five people noticing your site by posting it here anyway.

I think people here got tired of the lack of maintenance. I don't give a damned myself - set up some software and let the forum run itself if it can, as far as I'm concerned. But others had some beef with the admins here and moved to another place. I sheeply followed along. (Is sheeply an adverb? Sheepishly isn't quite what I mean).

The only reason I ever check back here is to see if some strange talent is haphazardly posting here.

I've posted twice in the last 24 hours, I bet that thrills you. :)
