I have an automatic Minolta Dynax and am looking to do some off camera lighting. Given that Minolta are no more, I am resorting to buying second-hand items from e-bay.
I am wanting to fire a non-Minolta flash and guess that I require a hot-shoe adapter before adding a cable, but I am not entirely sure what I need to be looking for (some proper name for it would be helpful).
Please help me before I spend money on something I don't want.

Thank you in advance
Chris

Chris:

I don't know what the Dynax is. I assume it is a flash unit.

Log onto www.bhphotovideo.com and in the search window type in "hot shoe adapter".

There are a dozen or more types. I use the Nikon adapter. It slides into the ht shoe on my Nikon FM-210. Then I use the PC cord from my Sunpak 555 and now I can trigger the Sunpak from the Nikon.

I just got a SAFE-SYNC so I can use the 555 with my Digital E-Volt 500.

Hopefully this will steer you in the right direction. If you have anyother questions feel free to PM me.
