Hi

My partner has a Canon 400D but she finds my lenses cumbersome. She like to have a good range of zoom - say 50-300mm or so - she doesn't need anything shorter than that. What would be the best quality compact and light zoom lens in that range? I have looked at reviews of the Canon 75-300 III USM, the Sigma 70-300 DG APO and the Tamron AF 28-300mm XR Di LD Aspherical Macro IF f3.5-6.3 initially but would like to have other options if they exist. Price is not so much a factor as size and 'wieldableness'. She can use my 70-200 anytime, but she can't be dealing with the weight.....

What are my options please?

Thanks

Consider a Canon 70-300mm USM IS. Is much better than the 75-300. Some reviewers even call it hidden "L" glass. I've seen some beautiful images from it.
