I've been tending to use the AV mode and set the widest apeture since the fastest shutter speed is usually of most importance, and when I'm indoors I'll often use the flash and leave it in AV
I had thought (perhaps I'm wrong here) that the camera would alter the settings, in particular the shutter speed taking into consideration the ability of the flash to help freeze motion..... do I remember my old Eos 100F showing '90' in the viewfinder for flashed shots ?
I noticed that when I was shooting that when I altered the ISO, that the shutter was noticably slower and on closer inspection the shutter speed in the viewfiner was still changing even on the flashed shots
could someone help me out here, is the AV setting complicating issues ? clearly I have a lack of understanding
What mode do I need for the shutter and flash to work together and produce a sensible hand-holdable shutter speed ?
thanks
