Hi, I think my shutter is broken... can anyone help? All of a sudden my camera started taking pictures like this:
It's a Canon EOS 300d, so its about 4 years old. I've tried it with all my lenses so I know it isn't them.
Help! |

I had a similar problem , it was the mirror. You have 1 of 2 options,
1. you can take the lens off and manually flip the mirror back, it should focus in then manual mode but not autofocus.
2. send back to canon - $200 - $225 with shipping

:( And I imagine if I send it to Canon they'll have it for a while too. This is really bad, I just bought a new lens so funds aren't too high!
EDIT: I've got it working with manual focus now, this will have to do until I upgrade. :( |

We've seen simular photo when the shutter worm out. On the Rebel it occured around 50,000 to 80,000 clicks. |
