I have a Nikon D70, with a NIKKOR 28-100mm lens. I recently bought a set of extension tubes to try some macro work.
When I try to focus on my subject I cannot see anything through the viewfinder - everything is so dark. At best I see an area of different colour - this is the only way I know I am on target! But with the AF not on you can imagine how difficult it is to get an accurate focus when all you see is black!!
What am I doing wrong? |

Set your zoom to 100mm to give you some room between the lens and the subject. The focal point of the zoom at the 28mm end may well be inside the lens. |
