Hi all,
I have a D70 that I am loving... I got it about 12 months ago, but have just started playing with it properly.
I have a question about hot-shoe flashes.... I have an old (15 years) COBRA flash designated for a Nikon camera, and the hotshoe contacts are all in the right place. However, when I attach it to the hotshoe and depress the shutter I get a 'r' message (obviously the number changes depending on the format I have chosen).... but the shutter does not work..... what am I doing wrong? |

try going into your D70 menu, under the flash mode, select manual... |

I have tried to locate a 'manual mode' for the flash, but i cant find it!
I can alternate between auto flash, no flash and red-eye but no manual mode. I have read the user guide as well, but cant find it there.
Maybe there is no way of doing this? I will keep playing and see what I can do :) |
