I've been hearing a lot about 'salon photography' lately, but I didn't really understand what it is... is there anyone who knows about it? And what's the difference between 'salon photography' and the other photography?
Thank you! :) |

Indie, I may be wrong but it is something I heard about for the first time after joining a camera club. My understanding of it is that it's a very high level of competetive photography, usually all categories of photography can be entered and are then jugded and each category has a winner and runner up, with a 2 or 3 others that might get honarable mention. All our national photography competitions are called "Salons" over here, I'm assuming that it's the same thing. |

Thank you for the information. I thought that 'salon photography' is - somehow - other major of photography. :) I guess, I was wrong...
Thanks again, Lionello!
