Hi,
I would like to learn things like:
how to protect the shadows & highlights when I move the levels in photoshop. How to arrange colors so they are more natural. How to use the curves efficiently. How to properly sharpen an image..
I'm working with RAW files.
I don't want to learn how to add artificial shadows or to make a serious portrait smile if you know what I mean... I don't want to modify "behaviors", only contrast, colors, tint, saturation, etc...
I think I take decent photographs but I want take them to a step further by perfecting them with photoshop.
Thanks a buch !!

Professional Photoshop by Dan Margulis is excellent. It teaches how to use curves to improve contrast, color, sharpnes, etc. He recommends to seldom use levels but emphasizes the use of curves on individual channels.
I am not a professional photographer (or even close) nor am I a pro at photoshop but I have gotten a lot of from this book.
You need a working knowledge of Photoshop.
