I'm a photoshop beginner, and am looking for the best way to get my photos ready for inkjet printing...

First off, I shoot in camera RAW with a nikon D70.

My first question is, if I am working on a photo in CS2 and then decide to save to work on it later, what should I save the photo as so that I can come back to it wih minimal loss in image size?

Second question is, if I'm getting my photo ready to print in a photo lab, and once I am finished with the processing, in what format should I save the photo before handing it to the photolab? I heard that it should be TIFF. If this is the case, should the TIFF be compressed as "JPEG," or should I select "None?"

Thanks!

Save it as a PSD file. (The CS2 default.)

Whatever lab you are using will have this answer for you. Ask them.

Generally I save my print ready files as a level 10 JPG.
