Just got my new lenses. It has a 67mm mount. I want to get a screw in uv filter to protect the lense and I want to get a screw in then turn to adjust polarizing filter.
Does any particular brand of filter stand out among the others on the market? I usually buy at Adorama or B&H |

I would say get a Hoya or a B & W. With filters...you generally get what you pay for. |

I think Rodenstock, Singh-Ray, and maybe Lee are rumoured to be the best filters, but you can't go wrong with a Hoya, Tiffen, or B+W either.
I notice a very slight sharpness loss with my Hoya 77mm polarizer (circular) on my 17-40L. It will never stop me from using the polarizer though - it's a pixel peeping kind of thing (100% zoomed-in view on the monitor), not the kind of thing that will make or break a shot. I checked it out when I first picked up the polarizer, but I don't even think about it now. Prints look the same. |

Which hoya did you purchase. That's really interesting. I have 2 hoya's and they are as sharp as can be. My dad also has 2 b & w which he loves, but I always thought the hoya's were better. |
