Take imy camera to a store, or clean the sensor myself??? I am a little hesitant to do it myself....is it a big deal....and what do I need to know?? What's the best way...and what do you guys do???

It is about as big a deal as washing your hands. Believe me. I've done it lots of times - ZERO problems.

Or you can do what I do and use a blower and just blow some air into the camera. So far it's done a good job of removing dirt from the sensor without any damage.

Cleaning lens is a simple process. If you don't want to take your camera back to the cleaning service verey half a year, then you need to learn this process.

I do it as a regular maintenance thing. The sensors are coated. You can't scratch them. Sensor cleaning is trivial. The mirrors are more delicate because the silvering is on the front, not the back. Be careful and cautious with mirror cleaning.

Make sure that if you use a blower only use one of the bulb blowers you squeeze by hand. Do not use compressed air blowers, they can do damage...so I've heard.
