Is it fast? Is it significantly less expensive than a 35mm f2 or thereabouts wide angle lens for 35mm from your camera manufacturer? I don't know the answers, I'm just trying to provide some food for thought. |

the Sigma 30mm is F1.4 so fast it certainly is,
weather or not it's any good, I'm afraid I don't know. |

Well I am quite impressed with mine.
I have uploaded some pictures taken with it using a D80, to my Flickr account (see below)
Three are of the river Severn Flooding at Worcester.
Three are taken inside at Fucus in Birmingham.
Not too sure about the accuracy of the focussing wide open they seem to be focused behind where I would have expected them to be sharpest.
Sometime I will round to doing a definitive test as I have read similar comments on another forum but that was regarding this lens on an Olympus E400. |
