Hello all
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to help but i have been trying to work out how this style of photo is taken.....here is the link ....http://www.photographique.fr/......i love the strong dark blacks in the sky to the brilliant whites in the clouds but i really cant work out how it is done i have tried loads of different methods of post procesing but am hitting dead ends so any insight into the style of this photography would be so much appreicated thank you so much for any advice or information on the style and any methods to try. :)

perhaps some type of deep red filter? the time of day also depends greatly. |

A decent red to start with would be 25a, i got mine at a local shop for like $15. Hoya also makes a nice one as well if your willing to spend the money. |

If the image on that site was shot on film, you'll get results like that.
A deep red filter with digital, I think you'll be quite disappointed. |

Red filters don't work well on digital so if his images were shot using digital then this is all photoshop. |

You can do a black & white conversion in photoshop by taking mainly the red channel (using the channel mixer, or just going to the RGB channels and cut/pasting the red one), to get a similar effect. I find these kinds of conversions often look a bit noisy (a lot of the digital noise seems to be in the red channel), but if done properly they can look pretty good. |

Even if it was shot on film....there looks to be a bit of photoshop in it....there are several tools that help make it more "inky." |
