I signed up some time ago when fuji-forum closed, but never posted. I've no experience with real photography, other than using an old Zenith when I was about 15 (18 years ago) . I started taking an interest again, when I started modifying my Olympus C-310 Zoom for macro stuff. Upgraded that to a Fuji S3000, so I could add filters and extra lenses etc. I now have a finepix S5600 that has given me more manual controls to play with.
I restore old photos for a living, so my photoshop skills help with my mistakes when taking photo's, but I'd rather get the shot right first time. I've had a few images from my stock:xchng account published in books, magazines and brochures, so I'm hoping to improve on that.

I was offered quite a bit of money for one of my pics ( This one ) a while ago by a London based design company , but I couldn't provide them with a large enough original. So that has pushed me to improve my photography and equipment. Although I enjoy being out and about taking photo's, I really do prefer working in my little DIY macro studio. Don't know what it is about taking macro shots, but it floats my boat
Anyway enough rambling on, get ready for all my questions on how to improve, and what camera to move up to next    |

Well Welcome Chris!
I like macro photography myself, even though I don't do it nowadays, sigh. But I've done it a little, and it is fun!
I like the blue droplet image, very good!
