Total newbie question... When I upload photos from my CF card to my computer, I save them in the My Documents\My Pictures folder. From there, I sort, edit, etc. Where can I view a photo's specs (ss, f-stop) once the photos are on my computer? I'd like to view this info as a learning tool, but am not sure where to find it. I'm trying to make the leap from auto-everything picture taking to more manual control. I have a Canon 350D, if that makes a difference. Thanks!

You need an exif reader (software) unless you want to open each image w/ a imaging program like Photoshop. You can download a free exif reader from Opanda.com and then a right mouse click on the image on your image or those on the web you can then read the data.

You can actually view focal length in XP, aperture, shutter speed and several other aspects just by right clicking, going to properties, summary, than advanced summary.

Or there is a nice tool from Microsoft called Photo Info.

I don't have a Mac, but here is the top Google hit for Mac, EXIF viewer.

Even Ken Rockwell has a link to it.
