Hello,

i have a newbie-type question. i own an e-500, and i usually transfer images from my camera to the Olympus program that came with the camera. In order to get them into photoshop, i save the images as email attachments which converts to jpeg. i haven't been able yet to figure out another way to go about doing this. i would like to transfer my RAW files from the camera directly to photoshop. Can anyone tell me the correct way to go about this if it is possible? Searched about online but haven't found my answer.

Thanks for your help.

Get a USB card reader and transfer them directly to your hard disk with that.
Then from the Hard Disk you can open them directly in Photoshop (assuming you have the correct camera raw plugin installed.
When it cones to saving the picture post processing the choice from the 'save as' dropdown is bewildering.

Thanks, i'll look into that. i think TIFF is the best option for "save as" and then jpeg them if you want to show them online.
