Does anyone know how to change the metering option on a eos 300d?
the manual doesnt cover it, all it does is tell you the available metering modes.

Any help would be great.

It would appear from the manual that the metering mode changes automatically: normal metering is Evaluative, Partial metering is achieved by pressing the AE Lock and when using Manual mode the metering is switched to Centerweighted Averaging.

Page 84 of the English 300D User Manual says it all, "This is set automatically"....
