I have a speck of dust that just won't blow off with the rubber squeeze ball I have.

It's definetely on the sensor, but it just won't leave.... What are my options at this point?

Also, I've given it some good/powerful bursts of air, but I haven't breached the lens mount with the nozzle. Can I overdo the air burst that will result in damage?

Cheers,
Ryan

From the FAQ:

Scroll down to:

Cleaning your sensor - Black spots in image.

Also this thread:

(Which for some reason is not in the FAQ...)
