The new oly's sound very tempting....410 510 and the new E1 replacement look fantastic. im sure the prices will be great as well. more options instead of the good ole C and N brands.

There's an E500 listed on my site for 670. My first SLR was an Olympus, completely manual. Took my best pictures with it.

The big question is wether or not to upgrade to the E-510 or wait for the P-1. The E-510 has some distinct advantages over my E-500 and without a huge investment I could buy just the camera body and then use my existing body as a backup, or keep one lens on each body for quick use.

yep, thats the way to go, thats why im getting an S3 and S2 pro from fuji, so i can also use nikon bodies, and the kodak 14mp DSLR camera as well. but i am really impressed with oly's new offerings....I hope to have an S5 too soon.

Same questions I'm asking myself. I love my E500 but the stablizer would be so nice for the longer lens. There again the image finder would be good for close up work.

Or do I wait for the new 'flagship' E1 replacement???!

Well while I'm making my mind up the prices will be coming down... :)

Hi Ken, I thought you had 'popped your cloggs'

I gave up waiting for the replacement and went Nikon D200 etc.
Kept the E1 and the best lenses - lets hope it was worth it.

Well I have been pondering SLRs for awhile, and I feel, instead of buying the fuji S5, im going to get a 510 and pic up an E-1 as well....and still have money left over for lenses. I have been looking at the oly's for awhile now, and the 510 has all the features I want with a price thats great. the oly system is great....
