I went to a all for a dollar store the other day. They are going out of business so everything is reduced. I found some water bottles for $0.89.
I thought they looked about the same size as my Metz flash so for the price I bought one. I cut the top off with a pocket knife then trimed it with scissors. The results were well worth the effort. Here is a shot of the flash with thr finished product attached.

the concept of a dollar store having to reduce its prices to shift stock is highly amusing.
good idea with the bottle, how does it perform? |

I took bubble wrap and rolled it up into a barrel and rubber banded it to the head of my flash. It behaved as a barebulb/diffuser. |

This is highly effective for reducing harshness from direct flash!

ok ok so it looks good on the camera but i want to see some shots done with and without it so we can really judge the efficacy of you new 89 cent marvel. |
