Can't comment on that particular brand, but you can find very very similar slaves on Ebay. Some look amazingly close to your link, for a fraction of that price.
Here is one, a 4 ch slave.
I own several of these very ones from this very seller and have been in use the past 2 yrs now, no problems, and the batteries last quite a long time too.
4ch slave
Unless you get really fancy with triggering your lights or around other photographers using same slave/frequency, a 2 or 4 ch slave is all you need.

I have seen those on ebay. Great price but I have stayed away from them because they look a bit cheep but since you say you have had good luck with them I may give them a try. The price is right any way. |

I bought the eBay version (Seller:Gadget Infinity) for $20 plus $10 shipping. I've had them for about 6 weeks now and they are working like a charm. I plug it into my Alienbee B400. |

Well this may be too late for resevordg, but note that there are two kinds:
One uses batteres for the receiver and sender. Great for using the slaves on battery powered flash units, portable slaves, hotshoe mounted flashes, etc.
The other is intended to be plugged into your studio slave, and receives it's power from an AC outlet. This is great if you only intend to use the wireless slaves with studio units that plug into AC power. This saves one more set of batteries, and one less thing to go out at an inopportune moment. |

well I went with the Impact wireless system. I have a transmitter and three receivers. It works great and the transmitter even plugs into my light meter so it makes metering a breeze.
Admittedly the Pocket wizard is better equipment but when the final cost for the pocket wizard is around 800 bucks vs this Impact system for a final cost of 200 you really cant go wrong.
This system works great, its smaller than the Pocket wizards (this is a real plus) and most of all its way way cheaper.
I would recommend this system to many people.
Now here is my new question, my seconic 358 light meter has a place for a card to plug in a pocket wizard transmitter.
I will probably just rent a pocket wizard for my next shoot to see if this works but does any one know one way or the other if the Impact system is compatible with pocket wizard? |
