Hello all. Im a 19 year old engineering student at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Im a car enthusiast and I also enjoy most 'extreme' sports like surfing, wakeboarding, motocross......
I got a Nikon D50 with the Nikkor 28-80mm lense for Christmas. As of now I dont have any accesories but I plan on getting some lense filters and a slave flash soon. I signed up here basically to learn as much as I can because I hate spending my hard earned money so I like to do my research before I buy anything.
Check out some of my pics so far at www.myspace.com/mathisphotography |

Welcome to PhotoTakers.
What filters are you considering? Aside from an occassional need for a polarizer, there isn't much PS can't fix in post.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Im trying not to get overwhelmed with all that there is to learn about photography.
I want to get a polarizer filter and a uv filter, mainly to protect the lense. In the future I might look into a few colored filters simply because I have a friend who has done some pretty amazing things with a red filter at dusk. |

lol I'm glad you qualified that, as I read it first it sounded like "if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask someone else".
welcome Eclipse. Sigma is right, Polariser and Neutral Density filters are the only ones you can't replicate in photoshop. Personally I'm a coward and keep all my glass behind UV filters too. |
