My Olympus E-10 (old school) shoots high quality pictures in TIFF only. The TIFF resolution is required for my photo submissions, required by web sites of 4MB photo resolution or higher. Some sites require I transfer JPEG only. When I convert TIFF to JPEG will the result in compression still be acceptable, as 4MB or higher ? Should I get into a newer camera to get the higher quality JPEG setting for images ? Thanks for your help. |

You are okay just converting your TIFs to JPEG. Just do it at the very end of your processing workflow. If you choose the maximum quality setting for JPG, you will not notice any artefacts or image degration.
Be happy, that your old Oly stores TIFFs.
