Certified Professional Photographer, Pierre Stephenson and Master of Fine Arts Photographer, J. Matthews Parker will be hosting a class on studio lighting technique.

Program Description: Learn to see again. Start off by delving into the fundamentals of light and it's application from a commercial standpoint. Understanding of shape, texture, quality, color, specularity and more.
Then apply this knowledge to portraiture with studio strobes, hot lights, lighting patterns, and many light modifying devices such as umbrellas, softboxes, halos, parabolic reflectors, scrims and more. Demonstration and hands on shooting with models and review. Learn single and multi-lighting setups as well as alternatives to complex lighting. Expand the lighting tools at your disposal, so when the assignment comes along you can best choose what technique will give you the optimum results in the time allotted.
This class is designed to provide a solid foundation for the Alternative Location Lighting class (PPA Super Monday) on April 2, 2007. Both Canon and Nikon digital cameras will be used. Instructors have first hand experience with Canon, Fuji, Kodak and Nikon digital SLR cameras.
