uh, my d70s says my exposure is proper.. but its not. lol

Anyone know how to fix this?>

Exposure compensation off?...

Do you have a sample of an image to demonstrate how off it is? Could you post the suggested settings given by the camera as well as the true spot meter settings?


Try matrix metering if you havent done so and just want some snap shots.

Otherwise, you may have something else messed that I cannot think of this late.

You could also do a Master Reset from the menu. If that doesn't work, it off to Nikon Service.

Light meters provide recommendations, not iron clad solutions. It takes a photographer to make use of those recommendations. The photographer must analyze the subject, the reflectivity, the direction of lighting etc. etc. to know how to adjust the recommendation to the final exposure that is right for the subject and the photographers desired result.

Here is what mine does, regardless of the metering i use. If i exposure comp it, then i blow highlights sometimes.

I dont know if this is what yours does. I have yet to recieve any information form anyone on how to correct this, if it is my fault.
