I went with the Nikon SD-8A instead. It's hundreds cheaper than the Quantum (which by the way, I've heard nothing bad about).

Using 2500mAH batteries, it will recharge my SB800 after a full discharge in a little more than a second.

i have the turbo 2x2 and will shoot all day on a charge, also im powering a 150w/s qflash so i imagine it will power a smaller flash all day as well, and its well worth the price and charges very fast and with the turbo 2x2 you can power 2 flashes or 1 flash and a camera!

I have a lumidyne that is about 300 bucks and has a meeter on it to let you know how much power you have left. I use this with my 550ex great combo. 580ex would be even better.
these things are money well spent. quantum lumidyne what ever just as long as you get one that is rechargeable the ones made by canon or Nikon take batteries ..... this can be a pain and in the long run it is more expensive.

I use the Quantum with my Metz flashes and have nothing but good things to say about it.
