I have just become the proud owner of a second-user E 500 and am still familiarising myself with it. The camera came with a 128 mb flash card. Everything seems fine, up to now, except that after I have taken five shots I get the Card Full message.
Can anyone please help?

You have bought a 8MP Camera so you need more memory.
Get a bigger card - 1 gig or more.

Look for the deals but buy a fast card.

Here is a 2 gig Sandisk II

If you watch there are some deals that come around on CF Cards. I just bought one this weekend the is a Kingston Elite Pro 50X. I would not want to go any slower then that and I really don't want to go that slow. However, with Google Check out (20.00 off) and a rebate on top or that I will only be out 19.95 for a 2 gig card. I can put up with a little bit of slow loading to my PC for that price.
Deals like that only last a day or so.

NewEgg usually has good prices and sometime good Sales too. They are a good place to buy.

Thanks for that, Kim. I'll check it out later. Here in the UK, these things can be comparatively expensive.

if you have used your computer to delete images from the card, the camera doesn't recognize that. download the images to your computer, then put the card in the camera and format the card. even with a 128 card you should get more than 5 images on it.

Thanks to all for the input. The record mode was set for TIFF. I have now reset it to SHQ for the time being which gives me 14 exposures, and am in the process of purchasing a bigger card. I am still learning with this camera, but I am totally captivated.

I have 2 1gb cards which gives me about 75 shots on RAW. Not a whole lot for a long photo shoot. I also carry a Wolverine drive so I can pop in the card and suck off the images and get the card back into the camera. On a big shoot I will keep rotating between the cards and dumping them to the drive.
