Hello. I have been attempting to photograph eagles with my e500 and 40-150mm lens. I don't think the lens size is a problem here as I've gotten nice clear closeup photos in the past with it........with the subject at about the same distance away. (maybe 300 to 500 yards in some instances)

I have the camera set at SHQ 1/2.7 3200x2400 Sports mode. The problem is that the lens doesn't seem to be zooming right in on the eagles even when they are sitting in trees and I'm getting motion blur when they are flying.

I'm posting a couple of the photos. Can you give me any tips or ideas on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

Well hummm......I can't seem to get the images to post. Don't know why....I have html turned on. Sorry about that folks.
