I wondered what was taking them so long to get a proper M series digital out.
It is quite possible that the Leica M8 is the single most desirable man made object in the universe. Not certain you understand, but quite possible. |

Bah, it has a pretty big crop factor (~1.3) and it's only 10 mp. A disappointment at $5k, I think. But the rangefinder forums are all abuzz.

same sensor as the one in the R series digital back then? 10mp and 1.3x crop?
must admit with all their talk of ultra low noise I was hoping it was full frame, but still got to be a nice piece of kit if you happen to have $5K burning a hole in your pocket. oh and a couple of K for some leitz glass of course......so just a small mortgage ought to do it really. |
