Finally Pentax have a camera which can really compete other than in the budget line. I can't wait to see what the new SSM lenses will do for the focusing speed. Also glad to see the return of Hyper-Program and the introduction of Sv mode.

My only disapointment is that it no longer uses AA batteries, but they were being stretched rather by the K100D so I suppose they just couldn't supply the amount of power needed for this cameras new features.

this is just not fair, they are making me want one

just look at these test shots, ISO 1600 and you have to do a 100% crop to see the noise!

but if the noise is that well controled at 1600, I wonder why they dropped 3200? perhaps the new sensor just can't do it?

Whew, just in time was thinking about buying a D80 but now I can stick with Pentax since I already have some glass. I am using a *ist now but want something with a few more MP.
