I'm the student editor of my college's literary magazine, Kudzu, and part of the job is finding a good, strong piece of art for this year's cover. As such, I've sought out several online communities and forums with talented members in hopes of receiving submissions from some of you. Cover submissions are crucial, as the cover art needs to be chosen by the beginning of October. We accept hand-drawn art as well as photography and digital creations.

In addition, we are also seeking artwork for inside pages, as well as original essays, poetry, short stories, flash fiction, and book reviews. The deadline for all non-cover submissions is February 1, 2006. There is no submission fee, unless you want to enter the poetry or fiction contests, each of which offers a $100 cash prize to the winning author. For submission guidelines, contest details, contact information, and a digital copy of Kudzu's 2006 issue, please visit http://www.hazard.kctcs.edu/kudzu .

You can also email me directly at HZ-HCTC-KUDZU@kctcs.edu or my personal email address, aaaashley@gmail.com.

Thank you in advance to everyone who takes the time to read this, and especially to those of you who decide to submit something to our magazine.
