The Big Ugly Review (www.biguglyreview.com) is an online magazine showcasing emerging and established photographers, filmmakers, writers and musicians.
Issue #5 is The Contest Issue - each category is a contest with a different judge and a cash prize. Winners are included in the summer issue. We are currently seeking submissions in the PHOTO-ESSAY category: series of up to ten photos with captions of any length. (Please visit the current and archived issues for examples in this category.) Photo-essay judge is Kerri Stephens, owner and curator of Varnish Fine Art Gallery in San Francisco.
