Thanks for the update Supercell. This has stirred up quite some excitement over at the 4/3's forum. I just hope Leica will produce top quality lenses for this system. I'm not impressed with their current fixed lenses for much of the panasonic product line.

4/3's Panasonic DSLR and 4/3's Leica lens ...finally more are jumping into the 4/3's boat.

reads to me as if the lens mounts will be compatible between Oly and Panasonic. This can only be a good thing. |

They interviewed a Panasonic official and found out that it will be interchangeable between systems. The only thing that won't work with the leica lens is OIS mode 2. Mode 1 will work. The difference is that mode 1 is compensating all the time, where mode 2 waits for the shutter button to be depressed. I also believe the aperture ring will only work in mode A on Olympus bodies. That means you can only change the aperture using the body aperture controls. Makes sense... |
