Are we going to allow reflector fill? Or not?

I favor one light only and images posted with and without the reflector fill.

So this would be a 2 image assignment. Same portrait with and without a white reflector fill.

Comments?

I'd prefer just to leave it at side lighting and let people's creativity fill in that blank. The important point is that the bulk of lighting is directional, but I don't think it has to be a single light or that a reflector be either mandatory or forbidden. It might be nice, for instance, to take a picture under a street light but with a tiny bit of fill flash for the shadows.

I would say at this time no reflector allowed.

Side lighting, as I was always taught, is lighting that comes horizontal to the subject. Often it is used to bisect the face.

Are we all on the same page with this?

Examples:

http://www.nyip.com/sub_idx_pgs/contestidx/nyiwin.php (window light)
