I'm wondering, because I haven't been able to find one, if there is a program out there that can extract the EXIF information from a photo and save it as a txt file.

How would you go about doing it?

Welcome to PhotoTakers.com

I, as well as many other members of this forum, use a program called; EXIF Read. It will give you all of your EXIF data. You simply open a photo in it, and it will show you the data. Go through the list, and hold down the CTRL button on the keyboard and click with your mouse, on each part of the data you would like to keep. Then, you can right click and select copy, and you may then paste the information anyway. Here on the forum, e-mail, text document, etc..

The direct link for the download is here

I like iExif by Opanda myself, although I havent tried ExifRead myself. The thing I like about iExif is that is has a FireFox extension so you can use it for pictures on the web without having to download the picture to your hard drive.

Cheers DigitalWanksta & Finalstand, both programs sound good, I'll give them both a try.
