Does anybody have any experience with cleaning a sensor with a brush, or something else that touches the CCD?
I've got this spot on my CCD that won't go away no matter how many times I blow it with my blower, so I figure my only option is a brush or swab or something...it makes me nervous thinking about touching the sensor though! |

I use a Visible Dust brush for typical cleanings.
Anything that does not come off with that get the Sensor Swabs.
95% the brush works. |

Well I took the plunge...I don't really see a big difference, except the spots have changed places :)
Maybe I'll try again tomorrow after my nerves have calmed down again!
Thanks for the tips! |

Don't get too worked up, you never actually touch your sensor, you clean the AAfilter infront of it, you can still scratch it, but it's not nearly as delicate as the sensor would be. I personally use a rocket blower and every couple of months I swab using the copperhill method. |

Do you use the 1.6 crop brush? I couldn't find a 1.5 crop brush on B&H.. |
