I thought I knew something about photography - until I purchased a D70! The opportunity to learn is fantastic and the feedback can be immediate, but I really need a good book that can take me systematicly through the camera's features in a way that will teach me how to use the ithem. The manual explains the camera's features, but is not designed to teach one how to get the most out of the camera, especially for those of us who know far less than we thought we did when we bought it!
If anyone who reads this has suggestions, I would certainly welcome them.

The Magic Lantern Guide to the D70 Is a pretty good reference. I find myself flipping through the pages frequently. |

You might also look at "Tom Hogan's Complete Guide to the Nikon D70". Its on CD. His others for Nikon cameras are very well liked and extremely informative without being dry reading.
You can find it at www.bythom.com |

I was going to ask a question along the same lines. But could one use this book work for the D70s as well- even with the minor differences? |
