I recently attempted some of this photo "fixing" on two seperate people. I would create a duplicate layer of the image, then use the cloning tool to fix the blemish or wrinkle with an area of skin next to the offending area.
I then ran a noiseware filter over the image using the preset portrait setting and adjusted the corrected layers opacity until I liked the way the image looked.
It turned out looking pretty good, another thing is to work with the image at around the 90-100% view so the areas your working with are large.
Hope that helps. |

Judicious use of the clone tool can help. Might also visit www.mediachance.com for a freeware plugin that helps with skin tone enhancing. |

Also try the Patch tool (and if you have CS2 or PE3) the Spot Healing Brush |

Try benzoyl peroxide or doxycycline. Don't use retin-A if you're pregnant.
Oh yeah, and all of the above.
For small spots the spot healing brush (the bandaid) is great. For larger ones I'd use the healing brush by sampling an area of normal skin (you alt-click on a normal area and then click on the affected spot). Set a low hardness level, so that any difference in skin color just blends in. The patch is fine as well.
For large reddish areas you can select them with the lasso, do select>feather 10 pixels, then copy to new layer and desaturate the reds by a little bit. |
