The photo assignments are here to give you a chance to “go on assignment”, to give you something to photograph when you can’t think of anything and to challenge your creative eye.
Remember that there are no winners or losers when the main goal is self-improvement.
I would like to see us get away from constantly suggesting that a photo should be cropped. When commenting on a photograph here are some items which should be taken into account:
Composition - What are the compositional elements of the photograph.
Proper exposure - Was the photo properly exposed.
Sharpness - Is the photo blurry or out of focus. Did the photographer use a tripod.
Lighting - Did the photographer make the best use of the available lighting.
Photo Assignment Rules
1. All assignments will start on the 1st and 15th of every month.
2. Assignment participants can submit two photos per assignment.
3. Only photos taken during the assignment period are allowed.
4. The title of the post should contain the assignment number and a title for your entry.
Example title: Assignment # 1: Morning Dawn
5. The photographer should post the settings, equipment used and perhaps some information as to the condition under which the photograph was taken.
6. All photographs must be free of watermarks and borders. |
