Hi, I've just purchased a new laptop with vista on it, and would like some suggestions for some photo editing software. I'm fairly new to photography still and was using the basic canon package that come with my 400D. I've looked into photo shop CS2 but I can't justify spending that much at the minute. Is there any decent software which will run with Windows Vista?

I have been recommended Corel Paint Shop Pro XI? Does any one have any experience of this-or any other suggestions like adobe elements?

Thanks for your time

try going to local university and purchase a student version of Photoshop, its actually affordable. Look into new CS3 version.

My experience is only with Photoshop and i can't comment on Pain Shop. Also, there is a open source editing software called GIMP its free, and many people use it.

hope that helps,

Adobe also makes a junior version of Photoshop called "Photoshop Elements". It sells for about $60, and does quite a bit.

And does all of the basics +. Best advice so far in my humble opinion.
