I have printed an 8x10 of this picture, and while the picture looks great on my monitor, on paper you can see some sort of gradient. Colors do not quite match the monitor either. Colors almost seem to be a green or yellow in print but again everything is white on the monitor. The original jpeg version of the picture is 2mb, while the picture I am printing is almost 3. I am thinking its the post processing that is creating the problem but thought I would ask here. Thanks for the input again. http://www.phototakers.com/forum/ftopic67427.html
I placed this in the Digital Photography thread first, then realized there was a printing thread. Mods if you would like to delete that post you are more than welcome. Thanks. |

this is a common problem in printing. And the issue is you monitor is not calibrated. You will need specific calibrating software/hardware to match the colors on your monitor to that of your printer. I use Huey its 75$ at adorama.com (http://www.adorama.com/PANHUEY.html)...
Hope that helps...
