Is the VR system suppose to make noise while it’s working? I have read mix
review on the matter and even Nikon tech support suggested that I send it in
to be looked at. I noticed it a few minutes ago while taking photo by
candlelight during a black-out.
What do you all think? Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill? |

Yes..... it makes noise. lol.... especially in dead silence.
Yes it's normal and so long as performance is good and the noise does not whine loudly, your good. In short, it makes more noise than the silent wave motor but less than a cam driven lens. |
